This unique kit is designed to allow your Bronco to breathe the coldest, densest air possible, resulting in improved performance. The intercooler is relocated to the upper grille for better airflow, even with winches, light bars, or larger bumpers installed. This location also provides protection from obstacles on the trail.
The intercooler features a 3.1 inch-thick bar-and-plate core that is precision TIG welded to cast aluminum end tanks for superior durability and heat soak resistance. The stock plastic piping is replaced with high-flowing, durable aluminum piping and silicone boots with DuraCore technology. This allows for increased airflow and improved turbo performance. The all-aluminum construction and DuraCore boots ensure unmatched durability.
In addition to durability, the Mishimoto High-Mount Intercooler boasts impressive performance improvements. With a 49-percent greater core volume and 93-percent greater external fin surface area than stock, this intercooler results in 21-degree cooler outlet temperatures. In trail simulation heat-soak testing, the outlet temperatures were still 20-degrees cooler than stock after 6 back-to-back dyno runs.
Available in stealth black or sleek silver, with micro-wrinkle black powder coated or polished pipes, this intercooler kit is not only functional but also stylish. The functionality of adaptive cruise control is retained with the use of a relocation bracket, and the 360-degree cameras are unaffected.
